Christmas Parade Fundraiser…
Friday, November 20, Chi Rho will meet at the church at 8:00pm for the annual Christmas Parade Fundraiser Lock-in. They will spend the night and prep for the Raleigh Christmas Parade on Saturday morning, November 21.
Youth should bring an overnight bag and a snack to share for the lock-in.
Youth can be picked up Saturday morning at 11:30am after cleaning up from the fundraiser. All parents are invited to come watch the parade on the steps of Hillyer!
We do need donations of sausage biscuits for that weekend. If you are able to bring some for the Youth to sell, please drop them off on Friday night!
During the season of Advent, we will be hosting an inter-generational curriculum created by Global Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ as a part of the Global Ministries Middle East Initiative. It is called Christmas Through the Eyes of Children from Palestine and Israel. Starting Sunday, December 6, from 10:00-10:30am in the Fellowship Hall, we will visit Nazareth, Bethlehem, and Beit Sahour and meet Nagham, Ronza, and Marianne– three children who live in the cities where the Nativity story takes place. Through personal and often painful stories, the message of the Advent and the promise of hope, joy and love found in Jesus’ birth is conveyed in new and meaningful ways. You will not want to miss this! Ages 0-99 are welcome!
